Hey there! I’m Kim.
I’m an actor, singer and voice-actor based in New York City, originally from the Bay Area. I studied Drama at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
I have an ardent love for both the classics and new works, and am drawn to processes that are playful, messy, and joy-filled. On the classics front I most recently played Friar Laurence in Romeo and Juliet at Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, singing the gorgeous music of Heather Christian. I’ve also been fortunate to be part of several world and regional premieres of adaptations of classic works. Some favorites include Lydia and Lady Catherine in the world and Off-Broadway premiere of Kate Hamill’s Pride and Prejudice, and Sonia in the Off-Broadway premiere of Aaron Posner’s Life Sucks (a New York Times Critics’ Pick). Most recently I played Harriet in the regional premiere of Kate Hamill’s Emma at PlayMakers Repertory, followed by the regional premiere of Kate Hamill’s Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson - Apt. 2B as Dr. Joan Watson at Portland Center Stage. In the musical realm, I’ve worked on new pieces with New Dramatists, ASCAP, Live & In Color, and more.
On the voice-acting front, I do Audio Description for the visually impaired with International Digital Centre, and can be heard on multiple seasons of Never Have I Ever, Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher’s film Your Place Or Mine, and Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlburg’s film Me Time, to name a few. I also love recording radio plays and audio dramas, and recently played Escalus and Mariana in Fiasco Theater’s radio play adaptation of Measure for Measure with Play On Podcasts.
